I'm putting him to work this weekend!

Don't call us and ask us to do anything tomorrow! I am putting my husband to work. He says I'm nesting and I say "WE" are nesting. I have all kinds of projects scheduled for this weekend like shampooing carpets, getting the baby swing out of the attic and cleaned up and finishing up the room the baby and Isaac will share. We are only 2 1/2 weeks from our scheduled delivery of #3. I've been cleaning out and organizing for months now and I can't wait to actually cross the last few things off my list.
Oh yeah and Jeff has a triathalon on Monday, I am praying he doesn't have a bike wreck or otherwise kill or injury himself. So if I keep him busy maybe he won't get nervous!

week 29

We are coming up on week 29 of the pregnancy and Jeff and I are both a little nervous. Week 29 is when Isaac was born much to our surpise. Our doctor is optimistic and keeps telling me its not going to happen but ... So this week I am praying for peace and trying to remember that God is in control no matter what. I have a tendency to imagine the worst and play it out in my head but I really am trying to change that pattern and imagine the best case scenerio- waiting until June. However, just in case I am trying to hurry and get everything ready here at home and I am nesting early! I'm very excited about making her butterfly mobile and finishing some sewing projects. I'll have to post pictures when I'm done!

It's a girl!

We just had our ultrasound yesterday and are so excited about having a girl! Sweet girl was hoping for a sister this time and I am thrilled about the prospect of lots of frills and ruffles. I'm already hard at work on a very cute crochet blanket pattern full of flowers.
Everything else on the ultrasound looked normal so she is also healthy as far as we can tell (which is the real reason for the ultrasound the tech reminded us.) Praise God!

Baby Names

We have been tossing around names at our house and so far have not come to a consensus. There are all the names I can not use because as a teacher I know some names will doom your children to a life of trouble and possible crime. There are the names Sweet girl likes and then the ones Jeff has developed an attachment for that I am not so attached too. I even bought a name book. Some names I like but I want the name to mean something and I names like Jackson just mean son of Jack. So I guess if its a boy we could name him Jefferson. It's hard to ask for suggestions because people have strong opinions about names and what they like or don't like. I hate it when you have a name you like and then people say rude things or make a face! Anyway random thoughts....

I saw the baby yesterday!

Yesterday I had my first doctors appointment and got to see the baby on ultrasound for the first time. I don't think there is anything more exciting or makes my heart pitter patter like seeing those grainy pictures of a "jelly bean" baby with a tiny little heart thumping away in the middle of its little body. With Isaac we had been through so much and I was so anxious that it was going to turn out badly but not this time! It was such a normal doctors visit with my regular OB Dr. not the infertility specialist and I was thrilled to be treated so "normally". We have a new more acurate date (June 30th) and that makes me about 8 weeks pregnant. We have have a plan to help me not deliver too early this time! I will have to schedule a delivery for the beginning of June but it may not mean a NICU stay. Now if I can just get through all this 1st trimester sick and tiredness!

The cats out of the bag...

We are pregnant and expecting a new little one in June! We are very excited and hoping for a healthy baby and nice full length pregnancy. Please pray that this baby is a little more patient that our little boy and stays happy and content for the full term. Sweet girl is very happy and hoping for a sister this time. She is already picking out names and watching my stomach for growth and movement- I keep telling her its too early but I still catch her staring.
The only down side is that I am not going to be able to run my 1/2 marathon. I'm still running but had to cut back on my mileage and intensity so I'm putting off that goal for another time.
