Have you seen the new pull ups ad? They have a big rapper guy leading families in the potty dance! I am disturbed and a little disgusted that they couldn't come up with anything better. To make it all worse I keep seeing ads on line for families to submit their home videos of everyone doing the potty dance! This along with a couple of other commercials have led me to the conclusion that nothing is private any more and there is hardly a line any more. Remember when commercials for feminine products use to be really vague and you'd think they were selling a day walking on the beach? There was no such thing in our vocabulary as ED (which by the way did you know ad companies are the ones who start using acronyms like ED and then they become part of our vocabulary as if they are really medical terms. Actually they put them out there so we will be more comfortable with talking about these private issues.) So I am protesting and will not buy pull ups until they take these stupid ads off tv. One other question- what is with the double bath tubs in the cialas commercials? Maybe I don't need to know but I think its weird and out of place! Who has two bathtubs on their back porch and how does that have anything to do with their product?

Well in my opinion, pull ups give kids a false sense and make the potty training process a lot longer than it needs to be. It is just another way for the diaper companies to make money. You know I trained 3 of you without them and generations have been doing it. Of course, we used thick underwear and if we were out in public we used rubber pants to make sure it stayed where we wanted it to stay.
Aren't rubber pants the same thing? Sure marketing is fun and a little misleading but "all we like sheep". Haven't seen the pull ups commercials yet, fortunately I am not a consumer anymore and don't recognize those commercials anymore. It's funny how when your completely removed from being a consumer of that product you can get around seeing the commercial for the most part. It has always intrigued me the targeting data they have on us so called individuals. As for the ED commercials man there looking for any and everyone to see those commercials. Sure whow wants to discuss Erectile disfunction with a Doctor or anybody. Wether marketing created it or the medical society shorthand coined the term who cares my favorites are the smiling guy commercials don't know product so commercial probably didn't hit mark but who wants to sit on santas lap with that happening. What kind of woman lines up for that in public and tells her friends to climb aboard after her? Curious but it sells.
Rubber pants may do the same thing as far as keeping the wet inside, but the kid still will feel the wet and not like it. Unlike the pull-ups they don't feel wet so why take the time to go?
